TAE40122 CERTIFICATE IV IN TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
The qualification is delivered through two intensive face-to-face workshops, supported by workplace practice, assessment activities and trainer guidance.
Workshop 1 introduces the practical skills required to provide workplace instruction, facilitate vocational training, assess competence and participate in assessment validation.
Students complete theory, guided activities and practical training and assessment tasks during the workshop.
Duration: Three face-to-face workshop days
Workshop fee: $2,200
Students who enrol in Workshop 1 only may receive a Statement of Attainment for successfully completed units after all assessment requirements for those units have been met.
Between Workshops 1 and 2, full-qualification students complete structured workplace practice and gather evidence in the supplied digital logbook.
Practicum activities allow students to apply their skills in a suitable vocational education, training or workplace environment. Activities may include facilitating training, supporting learners, receiving feedback, reflecting on training practice and completing other required workplace evidence.
Students must have access to suitable learners, training opportunities and an appropriately qualified person who can supervise or verify relevant workplace activities.
IRL Training will explain the requirements, provide examples and guidance and remain available for support throughout the practicum period.
Workshop 2 builds on the learning and workplace practice completed after Workshop 1.
Students complete training design, facilitation, mentoring and professional practice activities and continue working toward completion of the full qualification.
Duration: Four face-to-face workshop days
Workshop fee: $2,800
Some assessment and workplace evidence may need to be completed after Workshop 2.
